Flinging
No pictures today. Saturday I was hit with a sunami called Suzanna. My girlfriend was my go to it person. She kept me on track while instructing me on what to do to organize my house. We concentrated on my front room. IT IS AWESOME! 90% done. More to follow.

Menucha
This quilt I started over 10 years ago. I used my DSM to quilt some of the center of the quilt. It sat for over 8 years before I finished it on my girlfriens longarm. It took me only one afternoon to finish it. I sewed the binding on with my machine not by hand. It would still be another 10 years before I would get it done by hand. Hope you enjoy the quilt. I do!
Mini trio
Well I haven't posted in quite a long time. I am trying to use Blogger for my cell phone. This should make things much easier. The 3 little quilts are all made for a girlfriend at work for her granddaughter and 2 nieces. I have already made them matching aprons. these were for the teddy bears. I had fun.

OK. This is not the best picture of my Hexies, but it is all I have until I take more later.

They are 1 inch across from point to point, smaller than a quarter. Don't ask how big the diamonds and the triangles are all I know is they are tiny. I am using the "English Paper piecing" method. I don't know how big it will end up being so I will keep adding flowers on it until I get bored. It is so much more easier to make the flowers than it is to add them to the rest of the group. I plan on making each flower from different blues fabric with out duplicating a print.
I am not doing that with the yellow and the white path is any white on white scrap that I can find. It is amazing how small the triangles are. Now I feel guilty of throwing away some of my small scraps. (not really, if you saw how much I still have.)
I was inspired By Hetty's flowers that she does. You should check out her blog. I love it.

New Life
Well I went out GeoCaching on the 4th and had a beautiful day. I ended up finding 3 things that I would never had seen if I didn't go out.

This is the view I saw from Sky line Road outside of Portland.

| Banana Slug |
This is some of the native wild life. (Don't lick him, your tongue will go numb, or so a coworker told me.)

| Native tree |
This was on a path I took looking for a Cache. Notice the hole in the base. Here is what was inside:

Couldn't you just picture small mystical beings living in there. Maybe they only come out when we are all away.
Now on to the next adventure and cache.
I have been quilting too. I started a Grandmother's flower garden using 1 inch hexies (across the points in the center) I will work on it until it tells me I am done. I am doing it by English Paper Piecing methods.
I hope everyone has a great day.
