Little girls first sucker

If this isn't a perfect ad for Dum Dum suckers,  I don't know what would be better.

Past projects

It has been a while since I have posted about my crafts.  It has been because I haven't been doing any. Just watching DVDs from the library.  I did a little. The hexies above was about 3 months ago. I did try some English paper piecing,  but that didn't work out due to an injury. Nothing serious.

To get my motivation back,  a good friend is calling me at 8 am so I can do things other than sleep.

Wish me luck!

My grandson David

I realize that most of the time I mainly post about Olivia and MaryJane, hardly ever David.  That is because he doesn't sit still enough for me to get a picture of him. Here he received new clothes from this aunt Kiki. He looks too grown-up.  Mom had to corral him. Hey, if it works!

Uncluttering

I had a little problem with water back in October.  Well it has been since December since everything has been put back.  I haven't really worked on organizing my two rooms.

Today I was just day dreaming and it came to me, have a garage sale and get rid of the big furniture that is in the way.

Now to actually make the plan and set my goals.

Here is the wall of boxes in my bedroom.  Yes that is MaryJane on the top. It is 12 x 6 x 5. Too much.

Wish me luck!

Daddy and Daughter

This is one of the rare times I can get my SIL to sit down and get a picture of him. We were at a friends house and he sat down to spend some time with daughter Olivia. (My granddaughter)

These types of pictures are the best.

IT'S SPRING!

Well I can officially call it spring. Here is the proof!

First Crocuses

Penny Pansy
The cheating part is I have had pansies since January. They don't count for spring but, the Crocuses do. That is the only patch I have and I love them. Daffodils should be out now, but I haven't checked because of the cold rain and I run to the car and forget to look. That will be tomorrow's task.

Sewing/Family room update on next post.

FNSI

It seems like forever since I have posted. So much has gone on.

House is done (still unpacking). The walls are butter yellow with laminate floors instead of wall to wall carpet. This is more cat friendly.

I now have a car that a neighbor of a good friend GAVE to me for free. I have only put $250 into it so far. Most of that is normal things I would have done anyway. It is a Toyota Tercel (87).

Now for the fun part.
I participated in the Friday Night Sew In. I stayed at my friends house over the weekend and sewed my little heart out. It was much needed. Here are some pictures of what I did.

Crumb blocks

Owls in construction
sorry it is sideways

Owls in hiding

You can find the pattern for the Owls Here.  They truly are very easy and addicting.

I am adding a picture of June's project because she hasn't quilted for at least over 2 months.
She found out last month that she had breast cancer. 2 weeks after finding out she had a mastectomy and after all the test she is cancer free. No chemo or radiation needed.  She was lucky she caught it early.
June's blocks.

Well, I am going to stop now since I am at the library and time is almost over.
