I have been sewing a marathon and I still have 2 more days to go. I have only the outer border on my cathedral stars quilt left to do and I have made 9 blocks. Both are Bonnie Hunter patterns. The first is on her web site, Quiltville.com and the blocks are a future book. I liked the blocks so much, I drafted a pattern of my own size. They finish at 6 inches. The 4 flying geese corners are paper pieced. I am using up my little scraps. It doesn't look like it when I look at the scrap box, but the trimming garbage can does. The nicest part is, most of the scraps were given to me.

Friday night sew in.
I have been workinging this on Friday and Saturday. 12:22 am Sunday it is finished. It was a simple and fun quilt to make.I don't usually work on pastel quilts. I am a high contrast type of person. It is nice to know someone will like this. Next step is to quilt and bind it.

What's happening on the quilting front.
This last weekend I have been sewing on my quilts. UFOS? Nope. New projects? Yep!
I made a youth size quilt top, a small wall hanging, and some blocks.
The first is the top, then the wall hanging and I don't have a picture of the blocks.
The last picture is a Bonnie Hunter block she is working on. She didn't give sizes because it will be in a future book. You will have to wait to get the sizes when the book comes out.
The trip around the world quilt is all out of pre cut squares given to me. The flying geese wall hanging were geese already sewn but not together. The block came from a scrap bag collected at a retreat that I wasn't able too attend. They do that every year. They set out a bag for anything anyone doesn't want. I have even received fat quarters. It is a real surprise!
Well off to bed then work tomorrow evening.

Peek
I don't know why I took a picture of myself after getting my eyes dilated. It did make me smile. It's nice to be able to laugh at oneself.
